The iPod Touch is amazingly easy to use and is incredibly fun. There are plenty of fun free applications and the size is good too. Before I purchased an armband, I was able to hold it comfortably while running. I feel 8 GB is enough to satisfy my apps, music and video wants.
Using WiFi runs the battery quickly but it charges quickly. You might want to purchase a wall charger. If you can get to a WiFi hotspot, you can surf the internet right on your iPod. It even comes with an application specifically for watching YouTube videos. I personally enjoy the Weather App that allows me to get current weather conditions and forecasts for multiple locations.
My son uses his 16 GB for college to download his professor's lectures, assignments and podcasts.
You should purchase a case to protect it.
Overall, I would recommend this to all my friends and family.
