I lost my 1st generation Touch iPod and was surprised to find there was a 2nd generation now available. I'm not a techie, so wasn't up on new products. I was absolutely thrilled to find that the new model had speakers! I don't like using earphones and it was inconvenient to move even a small speaker base around the house with me. I use my 16 GB iPOD much much more than I did the first one. My primary use has always been to listen to audiobooks, but with this model I find I'm using many more of the features than I did before. Especially reading and replying to email and checking the stock market.
