I've had this iPod for about a day and tested many of its features. My music collection was too big for this device, first off, and for some reason there is not a drag and drop feature to add music to the device, rather playlists have to be added to the sync list. Mildly frustrating.
The option for apps and games for this device is amazing. Whatever you're looking for it's out there, from medical reference to koi pond. I will most likely use this device for more of the apps then as a music player. It's too distracting and flashy for a music player - in contrast with the oh-so-simple iPod shuffle.
The one feature I'm pleasantly surprised by is how effective and easy it is to get on wifi and start surfing the web. That was the one reason I chose the Touch over the Nano or Classic, and it works like a charm. That will be the feature I utilize the most frequently.
The battery was enough to last a day with constant use - which is to be expected.
It is easy to use and the interface is pure art. The hardware is sleek and gorgeous but easily smudged.
