My second Ipod touch.
My first one, I got it at the first release date.
This second one (2nd gen) was for my wife.
In addition to just being a mp3 player, what realy shine are the applications. My 2 yr old daughter is really into the simple games and became the most frequent user of the device. There are application for almost everything, that including games, puzzles, and educational toys that 2 yr old can play. Simple hardware interface and touch screen makes it for a toddler to actually turn it on, slide it open, and scroll left right and start, play or turn off the games. Problem is she tries to go touch screen on every thing, such as a TV, Nintendo, digital camera LCD, etc. She did manage to crash the ipod OS once probably due to one of the game not doing a good memory management making it even not rebootable.
