A year ago, if anyone would have told me that I would own an iPod, I would've said "no way". I thought they were too expensive, and the lack of a radio (something that even $40 mp3 players come with) really bothered me. But last June I bought a Macbook Pro, and I love it. A friend of mine got an iPhone about the same time, and that got me thinking about the Touch. I got it last Xmas, and it's become my day planner, PDA, alarm clock, newsreader, and my latest, e-book reader. Sometimes I even forget that it plays music. I adore it. So why 4 stars and not 5? Because Apple still can't put a darn radio tuner in, mobile Safari still doesn't have Flash (come on Apple, Flash is the standard in only 99% of websites, at least I think that's what the problem is with many sites) and I wish there were support for other video formats so I can view videos that I shoot with my digital camera. The external speaker is mono quality, but if I happen to forget my headphones I can still listen to music, and for playing games it's good to not have to have your headphones on. As for the wi-fi, it works flawlessly with my Airport router, always a strong and fast connection. The apps store offerings are almost limitless. Oh, and for those people who say there are no forward or reverse controls...please. There is a link in Safari to the complete user's manual.
