It may be billed primarily as an MP3 player, but it functions just as well as a PDA, especially after adding a few select apps (many of them free) like a scientific calculator, an eReader, and a few games for fun. The touch screen works almost flawlessly, and has a feel so smooth as to be nearly sensual. The screen resolution is fine enough to watch videos and pictures with real pleasure, no excuses for size needed. Typing takes a little practice, but it's fine for short notes and at least as good as poking at tiny keys with a stylus, and no oh-so-losable stylus needed. The wifi works faster than my laptop, and I use the iPod as my primary e-mail reader. This really is the best electronic device I've ever owned.
